Privacy Policy

Ghost (“Ghost”, “we”, “us”) is a product of NewFamiliar Corp, a Delaware corporation. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Ghost, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to the Ghost web application at ghost.jinn.works and related services.

We collect the following categories of information:

• Account information.Your email address, which we use to create and secure your account and to send you sign-in links. We use passwordless “magic link” sign-in, so we do not store a password for you.
• Content you create. The brands, voice profiles, drafts, posts, chat conversations, briefs, and other material you create, upload, or generate in Ghost.
• Connected-platform credentials. When you connect a third-party account (for example LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, or Bluesky) to publish or analyze content, we store the access tokens needed to act on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest.
• Billing information. Your subscription tier, status, and the customer and subscription identifiers from our payment processor. Card and payment details are handled directly by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number.
• Usage and product analytics. Events about how you use Ghost (for example sign-ups and key actions), which we use to operate, secure, and improve the service.
• Support and sales inquiries. If you contact us or submit a form, we keep your message and the details you provide (such as name, email, and company) to respond.

Ghost uses artificial intelligence to help you generate, rewrite, and analyze content. To do this, the content and context you provide (such as your brand details, voice profile, examples, and drafts) is sent to third-party AI providers that generate the output for you. Our current AI providers are Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, accessed both directly and through the routing provider OpenRouter. We also use Modal to run an entity-detection model that helps flag personal identifiers in generated content.

We do not sell your content, and we do not use your content to train our own AI models. AI providers process your content to deliver the service under their own terms. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated output before you rely on or publish it.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers (“subprocessors”) that help us run Ghost, and only as needed to provide the service. Our principal subprocessors are:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
• Resend — transactional email (sign-in links and product emails).
• Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, and Modal — AI processing of the content you generate or analyze.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Google Tag Manager — loading and managing measurement tags on our pages.
• Brave, Perplexity, xAI, and ScrapeCreators — web and social research, used only when you run research features.
• Fontshare and Google Fonts — serving fonts; these receive your IP address when your browser loads a page.
• Connected platforms — when you connect an account and publish, we send the relevant content to that platform (for example LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, or Bluesky) on your instruction.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights or safety of users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies. A session cookie keeps you signed in. We use Google Tag Manager to load measurement tags, and PostHog for product analytics. These help us understand and improve how Ghost is used. Font services we use may also receive your IP address when pages load.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you cancel, we may retain certain records (such as billing history) as required for legal, accounting, or security reasons. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content as described below.

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to request correction or deletion, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. To make a request, email hello@jinn.works. We will verify your request using your account email before acting on it. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

If you are in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. We process your data to provide the service you have requested (contract), to comply with legal obligations, and for our legitimate interests in operating and improving Ghost. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Because our service is operated from the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. and other countries.

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of connected-platform tokens at rest and access controls that isolate each customer’s data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Ghost is not directed to children. It is intended for users aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of Ghost after an update means you accept the revised policy.
